This two-part video series for the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) was designed to help Ob/Gyn learners develop their knowledge of female sexual health and sexual dysfunction, and review communication techniques to help improve their care of female patients. JA managed the full production process, including faculty coordination; script writing and editing; storyboarding, design and animation; voiceover; and video file production.
Our experience with specialty meetings spans decades. A lot has changed with the advent of virtual meetings, but the increasing tide of technology options can be disorienting. JA brings a thoughtful, custom approach to meeting planning, working beside you with a clear understanding of your goals for the project and the importance of relationship development and management with your audience and stakeholders.
Our recent specialty meetings include: Investigator Meeting (post-commercial launch), Clinical Trial Development Advisory Board, Advisory Board/Roundtable Meeting Series, Virtual Advisory Board, Virtual Speaker Training, CME Symposia Series.
For this grant-funded supplement, we managed the full life cycle of editorial development: extensive literature research, writing, editing, design, production for publication in digital format, manuscript submission, and journal review. The result: a comprehensive educational supplement published in Contemporary OB/GYN, providing an important review of associated risks and treatment guidelines for a common polymicrobial vaginal dysbiosis that affects over 21 million women annually in the US.
For this grant-funded interactive CME program, peer-reviewed content on Urinary Incontinence was brought to life with audio narration and explainer-style animation using Storyline.
We worked to identify expert faculty to develop content for the program, and managed all production including storyboarding, design, animation, and programming. In partnership with a certified CME provider, the program was accredited for continuing education, and used by practicing clinicians, medical students and residents.
After the release of updated international guidelines from a leading surgical association, JA produced a live panel discussion between 5 expert surgeons, broadcasting remotely from their offices in Canada, Europe, and the US to compare new guidelines with standards from other professional organizations across the globe. 185 attendees from at least 21 different countries joined the webcast and participated in a live Q&A session with the expert panel.
The JA design and editorial teams create scientific posters for presentations at regional, national, and international conferences, including adapted content for virtual poster halls. Recent topics include infectious disease, diagnostics, and women’s health. This sample poster was presented at the Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH) annual conference, JA provided writing support for the primary author, copy editing, layout and design, and specialty print production.
JA has developed an expertise for planning satellite symposia for the international and domestic medical community. We are known for our engaging and interactive programming, and building strong relationships with presenters and panelists. We organize everything from soup to nuts: we craft content, create collateral materials, plan itineraries, and are on site to make sure programs run smoothly. We take care of the details, so you don't have to.
We were pleased to work with BIDMC's Ob/Gyn Department in 2014 and again in 2015 to design and compile their annual report. The final product reflects the unique qualities of the BIDMC Ob/Gyn Department and highlights the work of their talented clinicians.
In 2015, Hologic launched Hologic Education for Residents, the HER program, an initiative featuring online educational modules and training tools for Ob/Gyn residents and faculty. In addition to didactic materials, modules include tools to help supplement training and evaluate the effectiveness of the educational content. JA acted in a project management capacity, partnering with Hologic to develop educational module content with key opinion leaders, building the site infrastructure integrating Hologic Medical Education design and branding, piloting the live site with advisors at key residency programs in the US, and creating the launch theme: It’s All About HER.
One of the challenges in creating a symposium is to engage and inspire the audience to consider new points of view. This satellite symposium did just that by attracting attendees who wanted to learn more about the new HPV vaccines and why the media was so eager to write about something they knew very little about. JA brought in two well-known journalists along with two expert physicians to discuss and argue the phenomenon, including the controversies related to press coverage of recent data published by the scientific and medical communities.
The APGO Educational Series on Women's Health Issues was created to strengthen the capabilities of Ob/Gyn faculty who teach medical students and residents about relevant issues in primary and preventive care of women. JA developed several teaching and CME modules as part of the series. Topics include breast cancer, endometriosis, urinary incontinence, cervical cancer, electrosurgery, and the management of menopause. APGO modules often include a monograph, teaching slides, complete references, and, when appropriate, interactive and video case studies.
JA has worked in partnership with Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) to develop the WellMom mobile apps, to supplement the Educational Series on Women’s Health Issues. Each app addresses gaps in knowledge on topics that are nominated by APGO faculty. Content is specifically targeted toward medical students and intended as an OB/GYN teaching tool, bringing a modern, interactive approach directly to physician learners. WellMom mobile apps include: Perinatal Depression, Managing NVP, and Induction of Labor.
